Darlingggg! I have just had the best day at the Polo Club.
So whilst collapsed in bed from a tiring day of being a poshie I thought I would share with you all what I wore and what I ate…definitely the most important parts of the day (…oh and the polo was important of course…)
– I chose a plain white dress as that way I could team it with jewellery and glittery sandals. I say plain but there is not much plain about it… I love the scallop cut at the bottom and the length is elegant and classy – not over the top or frumpy! Furthermore, the plunged sweetheart neckline is very feminine and gives a slight definition to those who are not gifted in that department (unfortunately like me haha!). The floral detail all over satisfies my undying love for flowers and adds a very summery vibe.
– My bag my boyfriend bought me and I cannot get it off my shoulder! I think it’s the first bag I haven’t had to swing round on the crease of my arm because the straps are a good length, FINALLY! It goes with almost any outfit and is the perfect size to fit everything in without taking over my whole outfit which my previous bags have done. The cream and brown looks classy and simple, I have had a few comments and think I may have to chain it to my shoulder else someone will nick it!
– I them teamed this dress with my favourite glittery sandals and green stoned ring along with extra lashings of anklets and bracelets. The nail-polish I stole from my sister and I am in love with, pastel purple looks amazing with a bit of a tan. The jewellery and nail polish don’t look over done as they compliment the lack of colour in my dress.
– Finally… when the heat got going and the eyes were squinting I slipped on my beautiful bug eyed sunglasses. They have to be my favourite purchase of the summer… and every year they get BIGGER. The round shape is band on trend and all over the shops right now.
Here is my purchase list:
Dress – £40 Asos
Sunglasses – £8 Asos
Sandals – £10 Primark
Ring – Egypt
Nail Polish – £4.99 Gelly Nails at BarryM
Hamsa bracelet – £5 Accessorize
Anyway, moving onto what I tucked into…
The polo club was sprinkled with food stalls and bars, but of the highest quality. I quickly set my eyes on a cake stall that had an array of flavours I had never come across before! Salted caramel, mint choc chip, chocolate orange, banoffee pie and the list went on… There were cupcakes with gooey centres and a rainbow cake that honestly did look the size of a rainbow. Get yourself on this website because there is a God…. and it is Natalie King – http://www.hellobabycakes.co.uk/ Seriously. I chose my favourite flavour of all Red Velvet:
What is a beautiful cake without a beautiful drink to wash it down with? I spent my afternoon sipping on home-made Raspberry Lemonade, topped with ice, a slice of lemon and served with candy inspired straw. I didn’t want it to end! Most refreshing darling. Here I have found a recipe online and plan to have a go and serve them to family over summertime! You should try too (don’t forget to purchase the straws!) http://www.mybakingaddiction.com/raspberry-lemonade/
